“I particularly enjoy the challenges of painting ‘en plein air,’ seeking to capture those momentary explosions of color and shadow that nature provides,” she says. “I seek to interpret the beauty of my surroundings from the solitary tree to the expansiveness of mountain ranges and canyons. I use color expressively and paint with loose, broad brushstrokes. It is my intent to celebrate nature it all it various forms of beauty.”
